FIFA 19 will not support any cross-platform support at the time of release, but this does not mean that EA has not made any plans for this.
Over the years, FIFA players have been calling for some form of cross-platform play, especially after the launch of the Ultimate Team, which allows players to buy players in the market to form teams, or to get items or teams out of the box. Such a model should really allow players to continue to own the items or teams they buy on multiple platforms.
“We considered cross-platform, in fact we often discuss.” EA’s creative director Matt Prior revealed on the E3 foreign media Eurogamer.
“There are many problems that need to be solved. We need to act as diplomats. We need to solve many problems with the first party. But “Fortress Night” has now opened up PCs and consoles. For consumers, it is possible to get through multiple platforms. Make the player community further expand.”
Epic Games has proven to everyone the possibility of cross-platform, which was unimaginable a few years ago.
“I can’t make any guarantees, but you have already seen those games complete cross-platform. You came to ask me a few years ago, I definitely think it’s impossible. We will continue to pay attention, I think this is a good thing for the players. “Prior added.
“FIFA 19” will be released on September 29, landing on the PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch platforms.
